US Dollar Index bias flipped 16 times to neutral on September 28, 2026

The U.S. dollar index has returned to its summer highs and was trading flat at the start of the U.S. jobs (NFP) week. Its strength has been linked to hawkish Federal Reserve signals and Fedspeak driving rate-hike bets, alongside U.S. Treasury yields hitting near 20-year highs and surging oil prices. Fed rate-hike bets are also overshadowing ECB tightening expectations, with the euro struggling in comparison.
